AB-so-LUTELY!

May 16, 2011 / Cindy Barclay / "Treasure Trove" Blog Roll

Bethany is rewriting the rules of the English language .

I wish you could hear her say with emphasis, attitude and joy.                  pronunciation- AB– so – Lute– Ly!!

Main Entry: absolutely
Part of Speech: adverb
Definition: without doubt
Synonyms: absolutely, assuredly, certainly, exactly, for a fact, positively, posolutely, right on, surely, unquestionably, without fail

I’ve tried explaining to Bethany that absolutely is an adverb.  I’ve tried showing her how its used in many different sentence examples.

But Bethany is determined to use it as an adjective.  🙂

 Her definition:

absolutely– meaning beyond fantastic, more than wonderful, unbelievably fabulous, joyously indescribable

When someone impresses her and she thinks the world of them she says emphatically!

“Miss Sherlyn is AB-so-Lutely!”

 “Mom!!  You’re Ab-so-lutely!!”

  “Miss Sarah is Ab-solutely!!”

If something is awesome- beyond words and description-

 Dazzlers* is Ab-so-Lutely!

The day can be Ab-so-Lutely!

And of course any baby is Ab-so-Lutely!

Cindy.. and Bethany….What an uplifting message. I really needed one today. I was feeling sad today as I realized that Bud would have been 73 years old today. Bud God is Absolutely and so is Bethany!! Tell her a special thank you from me. I will never say absolutely again without thinking of its many possibilities.

That Bethany is an ABsoLUTEly darling girl. I love her precious smile and dancing eyes. She is just so cute I wish I could give her a big squeeze through cyberspace. Thanks so much, Cindy, for sharing her voice with the world. Of such is the Kingdom for sure. Blessings on your head!

I’ll pass on a hug for you Edy- I just set up a Youtube account- so after her recital next week (which she calls her “Big Stage”, you’ll get to see her dance. What an amazing thing God does in her for her to memorize 6 routines- and she does them with such gusto 🙂 )

    My wife is absolutely.
    My family is absolutely.
    My Lord is absolutely.
And apparently He must think we are all absolutely, because He sent His Son to die for us. His Son must feel the same way because He willingly embraced His Father’s plan for our redemption.
I think its cool that Bethany taught us that God is absolutely.

Bethany is developing quite a following! I can see that she brings her own ray of sunshine radiating through her, casting a glow on everyone she encounters. Isn’t that just like Jesus? Wherever He is, his reflective light and love makes us all look and feel good whether we are worthy or not. What a precious little missionary Bethany is of God’s grace.

[panel style=”default” title=”About Cindy” text_align=”left”]Jeff & Cindy

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
