To FEAR NOT- we need EPIPHANY!

Not everyone reaches the miracle of CHRISTmas at the same time.

[Tweet “”We need to see the #LIGHT- we need an #epiphany.”]

Like it or not, from our first breath, we join the human journey of life between the trees.  Born into a broken, fearful world, we search for the Light, the Truth, the Way.

Some discover Him sooner than others.

For Bethany, and others with simple, child-like faith, there  are few obstacles.   She embraced Jesus’ love early on and His light of love shines brightly through her.

Others have a longer, more arduous journey.

The shepherds saw and heard the good news the night He was born.  They hurriedly left their flocks, and rushed to Bethlehem to embrace the Messiah. FEAR NOT became their epiphany.  The wise men discerned prophecies, followed the STAR, and began a journey that scholars estimate took them up to 2 years to encounter their epiphany!  Anna and Simeon had been waiting a lifetime, serving in the temple.  The promise of the Messiah had incubated inside their hearts until the day the Spirit of God revealed to them that Jesus was indeed that promised child.

Besides being a designated holiday to celebrate the Magi’s encounter with the King of Kings-

Epiphany literally means:

“manifestation”  “striking appearance”

“a revelation or vision of God”

Isn’t that what we all want and need?

We want to “see” God. EPIPHANY  We want to “touch” Him. EPIPHANY

We want to “hear” His voice. EPIPHANY

or maybe it’s that

We want to know He “understands” us.

EPIPHANY

We want Him to reach out and “touch” our lives.  EPIPHANY

We want Him to “speak” loudly and clearly so we won’t lose our way. EPIPHANY

Did you miss your moment of Epiphany on Christmas day?

[Tweet “It’s never too late to “be still and #know that He is #God.” “]

Our lives can be full of epiphanies if we dare to begin our spiritual journey. We need to open our spiritual eyes and hearts and look for the “manifestations” of love He places in our lives.

Remember, the first epiphany of CHRISTmas is- EMMANUEL- GOD WITH US.

He purposefully entered our world as vulnerable as any of us; so we can become like Him.  It’s never to late to be set ablaze with His light- your very own Epiphany.

Surprising Treasure: LOOK FOR HIS LIGHT!

In the beginning the Word already existed.   The Word was with God,  and the Word was God.  He existed in the beginning with God.  God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

I sure do like the way your mind works, Cindy! 🙂 You always give me something to “munch” on in my brain. Thank you – you just continue overflowing with “this Treasure” we have in our earthen vessels, pouring blessings into many lives. Hugs, dear friend!

I like the way your mind works too Edy! I’ve had my seasons of living in the desert and I’m so thankful He led me to His streams of living water that refresh and restore. That’s where I aim to stay mentally 🙂 There is so much treasure around us- that every person could point out a different treasure every day and it still wouldn’t begin to measure His hidden treasures for us!
      love ya! <3

Someone commented to me the other day, “Why do some Christians seem so bored in their relationship with Jesus.” I shared some of my thoughts, but in reading this post I am convinced that a daily “pursuit” of God brings with it the daily epiphany of fresh insights and growth possibilities in one’s relationship with Jesus. And that can never end in boredom. Well said Cindy. Well said. I love you!

boring is a definite red flag- if you’re bored with Jesus- it’s time to do a spiritual inventory, go to the spiritual hospital, and pray for healing. Life with Jesus is anything but boring!!! hugs

I wanted to write an article on the Epiphany for today, but the right words wouldn’t come. So now I read your article, and say YES!–you’ve articulated my heart. Beautiful message.

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
