Chasing “Perfection” – Finding Perfect Love

heathwhiteBetter get a box of kleenex out. In this honest, heart-wrenching video, Paisley’s Dad- Heath White, shares his shock, embarrassment and rejection when finding out their daughter was diagnosed with down syndrome. Follow his journey; the pain of “losing the dream of a perfect child” to the “awakening that true love comes in all sort of packages.” Heath is transformed from running away from his daughter- to pushing her- to stepping back and watching her run her own race.

He’s committed to always be there to help her “cross the finish line.”

I wish everyone who was expecting a child with down syndrome could hear and see- what we think is the most horrible thing has happened- is really secret treasure waiting to be discovered.

Good morning, Cindy! My name is Bob Skinner and I’m a doctoral candidate at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri. I jotted down some notes when I originally saw the video “Chasing Perfection” some years ago. I tried to view it here again today while I’m working on my thesis and it keeps saying “Sign in to view this video.” I went YouTube directly and it says “This video is unavailable. Sorry about that.” Can you help me out? Is there another location for this video that I might be able to access (and reference in my thesis)? HELP!!! Thanks! Your brother in Christ, Bob Skinner

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
