countdown

All of our children are in some kind of countdown mode!  You know- that joyful anticipation of a future event that you eagerly look forward to and count down the days until it’s the appointed “TIME”.

COUNTDOWN to CELEBRATE.

“Mom! Only 48 days until I get married!”

Moriah and Jonny- EXCITED

“Nehemiah will be 1 year old in just 8 days!”-

Noah & Sarah – AWESTRUCK

I love this! How exciting life can be when lived in anticipation – something we (older generations) might lose sight of, dwelling in our “memoirs” instead of keeping our eyes on the Prize: JESUS! Thank you for spreading the joy, Cindy! The Best is yet to be. 🙂

I Love YOU Edy! I’m sure that’s part of the reason the good Lord blessed me with a big family. My tendency is to look back, contemplate and- love how you said it- “dwell in our memoirs” But I find I can’t remain in the past too much because my children and grandchildren are morphing me into the future. Taking a deep breath and learning to rejoice in the flow! 🙂 hugs and blessings

Over the next few months Clan Barclay, Lawrence, KS is anticipating a bunch of exciting stuff! We are in countdown mode… And Cindy and I are committed to full participation!

My prayer, “Lord, let me live in anticipation—anticipating opportunities to be a light to others for You, to listen to others for You, to learn from You for others, and to love others through You.”

Cindy & Jeff, so excited to keep up with you & yours, seeing them grow & mature & share their love for the Lord through it all! I have a special place in my heart for Josh, I guess, maybe since we carpooled occasionally at the beginning & I enjoyed him so. And I can’t believe he is preparing to marry. (It will be 10 years now this summer, here in Lawrence, right?)

Praising the Lord that He has allowed us to journey together these past years.

[panel style=”default” title=”About Cindy” text_align=”left”]Jeff & Cindy

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
