Good Morning Treasure Hunters!  I want to share a relentless Joy Spreader with you today! Better than spreading peanut butter and infinitely better than spreading a cold, Marie is on a mission to spread JOY Daily.

Meet my sweet friend Marie Wikle- founder of Joy Corporation and author of Spreading Joy Daily!  I’d like to share  her book and blog today because it’s a wealth of encouragement, motivation, and ideas.

marie

“Every act of joy that you do, regardless of the size, has the potential to have a limitless ripple effect. You never know where your act of joy will end up.  You, the giver, are splashed with joy as you make a difference!”  Marie Wikle

“God’s Joy is for everyone!  Our goal is to encourage the discouraged and to inspire those that feel like they are just barely making it through each day. We want to help you to be Matthew 5:16 out loud!” Marie Wikle

I’ve learned over the past 50 years that every day is a gift,

I wake up and get to choose what I’m going to spread to those around me!

joyspread3We can spread doom and gloom or hope and happiness.  We can spread sunshine or storms with our words and actions. We can spread a lot of worthless emptinessinto people’s lives- or we can spread JOY!!!!

 joyspread

I just love Marie because she’s a God girl and she is driven and determined to daily SPREAD JOY!

joyspread1Does Spreading Joy sound great in theory but you aren’t sure how to practically do it? Then Marie’s book Spreading Joy Daily is a great place to start!  It’s one of the most practical books I’ve read, helping us to make a difference where you are with what you have!

Her book is filled with nuggets of joy to encourage and motivational words to help us live a life full to the overflowing with JOY. She shares ideas for spreading joy for every day of the year! 365 simple and practical ideas that will infuse joy into the lives of others.

This reminds me of my dad. He said, “I woke up so discouraged, this morning, I thought I’d better write some letters to encourage others who might be discouraged.” What’s that saying about giving flowers leaves the aroma in the giver’s hands? We can use our own blue moments as prompts to reach out to others who might also be in need, blessing both the giver and the receiver. Thanks for sharing the joy, Cindy!

This is awesome!! sounds like your dad would be someone I’d really get along with. This is so true! We just never know who may be down, discouraged or just tired of the fight!

letters, notes and cards are physical things we can turn back to time and time again!

Thanks for taking a moment to encourage others with your comment!

Marie- I love how you hone in on the “little things” that make such a difference. I still tend to think- “what can I do (in a big way) to encourage or help someone. I loved your book because it was practical and easy to do!

You know Edy, I just love your Dad! (and I didn’t even know him 🙂 ) My aunts are all like that too and they modeled such an important character trait to me- to go beyond my selfish, introspective instincts and do for others. I’ll never forget asking my Aunt how she dealt with all the bad stuff life was throwing at them. Without missing a beat she said, First I pray, and then I look around to find someone else to help or encourage.” It seems with all the “self” messages, people are doing more for “me” and less for others and our narcissism breeds more introspection, selfishness, and depression. Hugs to you and I love when you share your wisdom and insight!!!!!

Thank you, both, Marie and Cindy! You bring to mind an army course I took, where I shared my personal observation that a person who recognizes there’s always somebody else, who has more difficult things to deal with, manages to cope better than the one who expresses that “nobody has it as bad as I do.” A psych nurse interjected, “They’ve done studies on that, and it’s true.” Makes me feel sorry for those suffering from the “me” syndrome! 😉

After spending time on-line chatting with Marie, I got the chance to meet her in person. She truly lives out her SpreadingJoy persona! She welcomed me and my daughters as if we’d been life long friends with a hug and a smile a mile wide. We spent to afternoon together and each left with a copy of her book.
I am happy to say we have used ideas from the book Spreading Joy Daily.
The daily ideas are great! They can be the perfect little “ahh I never thought of that before”, and they have give me a starting point to be a blessing for someone. But most importantly, this book is a reminder that there is always a need for JOY and I can receive as well as give it.

Marie is definitely a treasure! Some people are critical of online, social media “friends”- saying they’re shallow- but I have found amazing, incredible friends on social media and my life is so much richer. Marie is one of those blessings in my life!

Me either, Marie and Cindy. I’m not one bit crafty. 🙁 Unless we can count crafting words. 🙂

[panel style=”default” title=”About Cindy” text_align=”left”]Jeff & Cindy

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
