Mothers are lovingly sculpted by God’s hammer and chisel.

The Master starts with uncut, unpolished stone.  The rock that hides the beauty within. Sometimes it hurts, this chisel of His.  The pain of loss is followed by a lightening of soul as dead weight is cut away.

We live behind the veil of His purposes; the vision of His artistry.

Oh dear, mother, He has plans; He has plans for you!

As God sculpts us into the visage of motherhood, each cut purposeful; chipping away the extemporaneous. Each hammer blow decisive, confident the force of that blow will bring form and dimension.

He  will chip away each imperfection until we reflect His glory.

Patiently, He works, knowing the finished work of art will be a Masterpiece.  One which will inspire all who take time to gaze at her grandeur.

He polishes; refining every detail until He steps back and looks at His work.

He smiles and says, “She is good.  Very good. I will call her a mother.”

You are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

Surprising Treasure: Of all mothers in history, I relate to Mary- the mother of Jesus. Grace filled her with fortitude and strength, as she journeyed into motherhood- His grace will also fill and strengthen us.  Strength and Joy to you today dear mothers- You are His masterpiece!

[panel style=”default” title=”About Cindy” text_align=”left”]Jeff & Cindy

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
