Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me!

Matthew 18:4,5

You want to be great?  Change. Become #childlike!

I’ve often wondered why God does what He does.  Why does God allow bad things to happen?  Couldn’t He just suspend the bad and make everything miraculous?

Maybe I’m missing the miraculous unfolding right before my eyes.

What if God’s is purposeful in what He allows to happen in our lives?

What if there’s a lesson, a transformation, a metamorphosis awaiting as we struggle to escape our earthly restraints?

What if He wants to take our puny thoughts and expand our souls that He could fill us with His immeasurable thoughts?

What if God has bigger thoughts and grander plans than ours?  What if He wants a greatness beyond our understanding and natural abilities?

So I guess I’ll strip off the grown-up cares and worries of this world and put on the joyful clothes of childhood.  Maybe I’ll try skipping through life instead of drudging. 🙂  Maybe I’ll lay on my back and watch the clouds go by instead of tossing and turning.  I think I’ll look for the WONDER in His creation instead of rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off.

Yes!  I think I will become a child again and love God and the whole world without a lot of complications.

God rejoices and stamps His approval on those who are childlike, loving, and have a humble heart?  He shouts to the world- “LOOK and SEE!  This is who I call GREAT! ”

We all have to become like children; living and loving in our Father’s world.  God calls us back to the simple trust of a child- knowing our Father knows best.

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
