31 Free and Priceless Gifts for Christmas and Beyond- Part 3

I might have saved the best for last. 😉

EVERY GOOD GIFT COMES FROM ABOVE-

good-gift

22- Understanding- Bite my tongue- swallow those words- engage heart and head first!

23-  Investment– the investments we make ripple through eternity- Marley confronts Scrooge with this eternal truth in the Christmas Carol.

“Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, benevolence, were all my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!”
― Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol

24-  Worth- When I walk into nursing homes and Alzheimer’s units, when I visit Day Care Centers for the Intellectually Disabled, when I see prejudice, isolation, the homeless, the mistreatment of people, when I see peoples lumped together by “labels”, when I hear people justify killing a child in the womb- my heart not only breaks it boils with indignation.

Every. Person. Is. Loved. By. God- How can we do less?

25-  Encouragement- Be an encourager- the world has enough critics already.  Motivational Quotes

26-  Patience- God is patient with me- 🙂 sooooo I guess I need to grow in patience toward others! (another word for patience is long-suffering -looooonnnnng-s u f f e r i n g- yep- that’s what patience feels like)

27-  Thoughtfulness- Our crazy, 100mph world doesn’t leave much time for thoughtfulness- a little thought- a little consideration for others goes a long way- It’s the little things……

28-  Truth- this gift is only good when prayed over carefully, motivated by love, words chosen with wisdom and gentleness, given with humility, and delivered in God’s timing.

29-  TIME- this is one of my favorite gifts- Quality Time. Yes. Quantity Time. Yes. Together time. Yes. Fully Present. Yes. I’ve come to believe Time is the most sacred gift you can give or receive.

30–   The Good News–  the Bible is full of scriptures explaining the Greatest Rescue Mission ever enacted- but one of my fav. verses is found in Ephesians 2

For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life,

31-   God’s Love- God is perfect love.

My mission- our mission- let God transform our hearst- from selfish, me-centered living-

to become filled to overflowing with God’s amazing, without-strings attached- never failing- never ending- unconditional love.

Oh that we might know the depths of His love- that we might love a little bit more like Him each day.

Gifts too big to fit under a tree, yet small and simple enough for everyone to give.

[panel style=”default” title=”About Cindy” text_align=”left”]Jeff & Cindy

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
