Who’s Charting Your Path?

We humans keep brainstorming options and plans,
    but Godโ€™s purpose prevails.

Proverbs 19:21- The Message

While Bethany was working at her internship, I had 3 hours to explore her options and possibilities for her post high school “life”.

After talking to 6 people in different departments at our local Junior College, I was disappointed to find the Early Childhood Education Certificate we had been told about is non-existent.  ๐Ÿ™ I followed up on a few more options but each exploration yielded nada.

I started to second guess myself. Ok- it was more like worry.  I worried about how “I” was ever going to figure what was what Bethany’s next step in life!

I shot off a quick prayer, “God, it’s me. Overwhelmed again. Second guessing myself, again. Need some help and direction here, again.”  (over and over again is the operative word ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

[Tweet “The LORD directs the steps of those who follow Him. He delights in every detail of their lives. #Godsplans “]

Delights in every detail???

Dead ends and confusion are commonality in our journey; detours, road blocks, re-routing, second guessing past choices, wondering, and worrying. I hate the in-between. I’m the kind of gal that panics when Siri says “re-routing”. I just want to get there- safe and sound.

[Tweet “Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and He will help you.  Ps. 34 #TrustGod”]

Jesus take the wheel!

1- I Commit to me being His follower (again) .

2- I cry out for help.

3- I turn it over to God. (as many times as it takes ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

4- I  remember  and rehearse the myriad times God has worked things out in my life but didn’t see it until it was all worked out.

The Way Maker never stops being the Way Maker.

His time, His purposes, His love will prevail for me- for you- for Bethany.

Thankfully for me, I didn’t have to wait very long!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚  Long story short, by evening 3 different sources contacted me and I suddenly had 3 new, exciting opportunities to pursue.

Even if they don’t work out for Bethany, God was clearly showing me:

“Bethany’s future is in My hands. Trust me more. Do you believe I can work out my purposes and plans for her?”

The LORD will work out His plans for my lifeโ€” (and Bethany ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

for Your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.

You won’t abandon me, for You made me.

Psalm 138:8

“Yes, Lord, help my unbelief. And could you help me with that worry and control thing while You’re at it? .”

Surprising Treasure:

You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.
Youโ€™ve gone into my future to prepare the way,
and in kindness you follow behind me
to spare me from any harm of my past.
With your hand of love upon my life,
you impart a blessing to me.

This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible!

Psalm 139:4-6 TPT

Thanks Lisa! The older I get, the more I realize- I don’t really want the “position” of being in control. I ‘m still learning to let go and Let God direct my (our) paths ๐Ÿ˜‰ hugs and hope everything is going great with you all!

Hi, Iโ€™m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. Iโ€™m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastorโ€™s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of Godโ€™s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
